As part of the initiative for holding live ambient music concerts, www.ampeff.com is organizing the first “Waves of Ambience” event on the 16th of December in Skopje. “Waves of Ambience” brings you 4 artists from Macedonia (Skopje & Bitola) for an evening filled with ambient/drone/experimental-jazz music and visual meditative session. You are invited to join us at Social Center Dunja this December, starting 19:30.
Entrance is by donation.

20:00 – 20:40 | СВЕТЛОСТ [Skopje, MK]

SVETLOST (a Slavic word meaning “Light”) is an ambient-jazz trio from Skopje, composed of Ninoslav Spirovski (clarinet/saxophone), Kristijan Novkovski (percussion) and Deni Omeragić (bass/synthesizer/electronics). They are currently working on their debut LP, which contains three lengthy compositions, in which are blended styles as diverse as free jazz, post-punk, ambient and electro-acoustic music – this concert’s material will be dominated by the latter two.

20:40 – 21:20 | Vedis [Skopje, MK]

Vedis- holy spirit of the forest, is the cinematographic ambient project of Klara, a comprehensive electronic music and media artist based in Skopje, known on the scene as a dj, producer and live performer. She started her project in March 2017 , expressing her inpiration and devotion from the vedic knowledge, nature, and the universe, aiming to transmit various experiences and stories through sound and frequencies. Her sound can be descibed as deep, sensational, melancholic, meditative, spiritual, and is spread through long drones layers, classical, atmopsheric vocals, field recordings, emotional pads and atmoshperes and all through several acoustic, analogue and digital instruments.

21:20 – 22:00 | Amplidyne Effect [Skopje, MK]

Amplidyne Effect is the improvised multimedia project run by producer, musician & graphic-designer Martin Georgievski (b. 1988 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia). Taking its form as mostly a live improvisational music project, Amplidyne Effect is heavily influenced by an experimental / psychedelic spectrum of sounds ranging from Drone, Noise, Ambient, Contemporary Minimalist music and all the way to Post-Rock, Krautrock, IDM, Synth Wave elements, finding the inspiration from art, music, movies, nature and technology it-self.

22:00 – END | Dimitar Dodovski [Bitola, MK]

Dimitar Dodovski, (b.1980) has been part of the macedonian electronic music scene since the early 00’s with his productions as well as live and dj appearances. His sound involves a spectrum of dubby textures to meditative ambient soundscapes. Making albums solo and with other musicians, Moss Garden (w/ Lee Anthony Norris) and Post Global Trio, he has released several critically acclaimed albums on labels like Databloem, Carpe Sonum Records, Unknown Tone Records.
